360°dcLounge
360°dcLounge @ Hygge includes Data Centres – Retrospect

3 days full of highlights, interesting and innovative concepts, solutions, products and insights, plus 2 Hyperscale Data Center under construction, where we felt as if we were driving for miles.
The almost 450 km in the bus were used very individually: to network, to work but sometimes for a quick nap. Sightseeing was unfortunately not due to the onset of winter with low clouds.
There are almost 100 definitions of Hygge, every participant of the 360°dcLounge has a different understanding. I’ve learned that my „Hygge“, the cinnamon bun, is only served in Denmark at Christmas time.
The presentations and the pictures are available for download, the video summarizes the 3 days.

The Hyperscale Datacenter in numbers:
In Odense Facebook acquired 50 hektares of land and announced the construction of 56,500 m2 of data halls and administration etc. The construction is expected to be completed by 2020.
In Viborg Apple acquired 100 hektares of land and announced the construction of 160.000 m2 of data halls, administration etc. Construction is ongoing, but there is not set date for the completion of all 160.000 m2 – this depends on how the demand evolve.
360°dcLounge @ Hygge includes Data Centres
Hygge is what you make of it. The Danes describe hygge as something uniquely Danish – a sense of community and security.
Hygge also seems to attract Data Centre providers because in recent months we regularly read about new, very large, green Data Centre projects coming to Denmark.
Together with Invest in Denmark – Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark – and the Danish Data Center Industry, we would like to invite you to a 2,5 day 360°dcLounge with the theme being hygge from 07.-09.03.2018
I would like to give you an insight into the country where green living is a lifestyle and where cargo bikes and windmills are produced, where the highest elevated point is 170m above sea level and the temperature curve is as flat as the sea surrounding it, where the smell of delicious Danish pastry makes the Danes the happiest people in the world, and where fairytales turn ugly ducklings in to swans and farmland into hyper scale data centres, and how it is all perfectly designed for the Data Centre Infrastructure Community to thrive.
We are planning a very exciting, informative and networking-intensive program with stations in Copenhagen, Odense, Kolding and Viborg, where we are sure you will get to experience the highlights of the Danish Data Centre industry. Program details are coming soon.
Please plan to arrive at Copenhagen Airport (CPH) on 07.03.2018 by 11.30 am at the latest and return from Karup Airport/Midtjyllands Lufthavn (KRP) on 09.03.2018 from 15.00 pm at the earliest. In between we plan a “hyggelig” transfer on a private bus.
You will learn how to Hygge and how it applies to data centres. We look forward to seeing you and to give you the whole Hygge experience!
Please note, that the number of seats available is limited and you need a personal invitation.
